Aren't we the rudest parents in the whole world... ever since Taya was born she had to be rocked to sleep with a bottle and blanket.. I know curse me!! So now we are trying to get her to go to sleep on her own!! She will cry for ever.. it is sooo sad.. sometimes I can't take it and go and get her. The other night we peaked in and this is what we found, it was so funny I flipped on the light to get some pics!! Needless to say she got rocked to sleep that night!

i decided to comment on you blog! these pics make me feel sad i hate it when little babies cry :(
She's just doing what she's trained to do, right? BUT, I know from experience that it only takes about 3 or 4 nights to teach them differently!
Oh, that is soooo hard. I feel for you. I'm a rocker too and I love it. It just makes it hard when you need to leave and have someone else put them to bed. Date nights are out the door when your baby depends on you to rock them to sleep. We just solve that dilema (because I'm a wuss) by going out after I put the baby to bed for a late night date (we get a sitter, ofcourse. You were thinking that I just take the baby monitor with me, weren't you? Silly Melonie. The reception isn't good enough. jk!.). Anyway, I wish you luck! I've heard that it only takes a little while to train them as well. Meanwhile, she is the cutest little jailbird I ever saw.
How sad! Keep at it though! I'm sure it will be totally worth it. Halle has always needed her bink to go to sleep, we used to have to rock her too...not anymore! I agree with the 3-4 nights thing... hang in there!
oh man Amy you make me feel guilty!
I actually still rock Cooper to sleep! We've tried three different times to do the crying thing and I just can't do it! I know I need to figure some sleep training out or I'm gonna be up all night rocking one baby or the other! :) I guess they're only little and wanting to be rocked for so long... Good luck to you guys!
